We were discussing at work the other day, that bacon is the universal condiment. We couldn't think of one food that isn't improved by the addition of bacon. Even bacon ice-cream doesn't sound that un-appealing. But the problem is getting bacon in a shaker. Or harder yet, getting the bacon that you've shoved in a shaker, out.

Fortunately, there's Bacon Salt!, a foray to turn bacon into the universal condiment that it is meant to be. Not only does it come in various flavours (Original, Hickory, and Peppered), but they provide a page of gourmet recipes, most of which made my arteries constrict with joy.

Now I just have to go about figuring out how to get my hands on it. If it's as good as they claim, I have found a new food buddy, and will clear out all those namby spices that don't taste like bacon to make room for it.

Canada counts as international to them, and the price doubles. Perhaps I'll have to try to hunt down that store in Clinton township..

I need a bacon-flavoured life!
